There are a huge range of sleeping options on Koh Lanta, ranging from top-end 5* resorts to backpacker bamboo huts. The majority of the accommodation is mid-range, en-suite concrete bungalows, set on or near the beach, with air-conditioning. One will, however, find any combination of facilities, such as fan or air-con, shared or en-suite bathroom, hot or cold water, detached or semi-detached bungalow, apartment or hotel room, thatched or slate roof, etc. etc.

There are also different areas within Koh Lanta to stay. Klong Dao and Prae Ae (Long Beach) are beautiful bays with white sandy beaches with a variety of bungalows and hotels nestled beneath palm trees. Klong Kong is a backpacker favourite with lots of chilled budget accommodation available, while Klong Nin and Kantiang Bay are located further south and can be a little quieter.
